-----------------------MINUTES ---------------------------
Mike LaBonte conducted the meeting.

Call for IBIS related patent disclosures:

- None

Call for opens:

- Mike: We have a new IBISCHK bug from Zuken.
- Bob: We have problem reports from Arpad.

ARs:

- Mike add comments to CMPNT, DLY, MSPEC sections.
  - No new progress.

- Lance add comments to EBD section.
  - No new progress.

- Bob add comments to CIRCUIT section.
  - No new progress.

New IBISCHK AMI_bidirbug from Zuken:
- Mike showed the testcase IBIS file.
- Bob: We need to file a bug report for this.
  - It will need a testcase that can be shared, this one has proprietary
    information.

IBISCHK regression test issue:
- Mike showed an IBISCHK regression test file for BUG167.
- Mike: This varies the Compiler portion of the Executable lines, avoiding a
  "duplicate" error.
- Lance: Is the Compiler value a reserved word?
- Mike: No, only Bits is reserved, it has to be 32 or 64.
  - The IBIS specification has a list of values for Platfrom, but it's probably incomplete.
  - The Compiler can be anything.
- Lance: Tools mostly look for Platform and Bits.
  - What if there is a conflict?
  - How do tools figure out the Platform exactly?

- Mike showed page 171 of IBIS 6.1.
- Mike: We only specify what Bits can be.

- Bob: It would be hard to standardize for every platform.
  - EDA tools can let the user choose the right Executable line if necessary.

- Mike: The severity for this should be above moderate.

AR: Bob write bug report for Zuken AMI_bidirbug

IBISCHK Bug 176:

- Bob showed bug176.txt
- Bob: The out3 port is called but not defined.
  - Irrelevant Node Declarations have been removed from the original testcase.
- Mike: How would out3 have been declared?

- Bob: Hyperlynx reports this as an error.
- Mike: The problem here is that out3 is not a mapping defined by IBIS.
- Bob: This bug should be categorized moderate, medium.

IBISCHK Bug 177:

- Bob showed bug177.txt
- Bob: Irrelevant Node Declarations have been removed.
  - That is scoped by component.
  - This one causes a parser crash.
- Mike: So the [Node Declarations] keyword is not removed, it is empty.

AR: Bob pass bugs 176 and 177 to Arpad for review, then post.

DLL Checking: Not discussed.

Meeting ended: 11:53 ET
